From December 2021 to March 2023, Dr. Alison Krentel served as co-chair for the Taskforce on Fairness and Antiracism to Enhance Academic Research, Partnership and Education in Global Health (FAARE) for uOttawa's Faculty of Medicine (FoM). The Taskforce considered three areas - research, partnership and education - in their report and recommendations to the FoM.
The findings from the report were presented to the FoM Executive Leadership Team in April 2023. FAARE Taskforce recommendations are related to pre-departure training, development of international exchanges and mutual learning opportunities, advocacy for a fair distribution of indirect funds with partners, development of indicators to measure fairness in partnerships, among others.
